The Duchess of Cambridge donned a pair of trendy boots as she visited a primary school in north London today.
Kate, 37, is best known for her timeless pumps and signature stilettos but decided to switch up her usual style with the £295 heeled boots from LK Bennett – and it’s not the first time she has experimented with her footwear in recent months.
The mother-of-three has been ditching her tried-and-tested nude suede pumps and pastel heels in favour of somewhat edgier boots – joining other A-listers who are already fans of the trend.

Today’s visit to a school in Enfield allowed the Duchess to find out more about the support offered to students, teachers and parents to help with mental wellbeing.
She donned a green Eponine dress for the occasion – but much attention was paid to her stylish high-heeled boots.
The contrasting footwear featured intricate detail – including black eyelets which the laces were neatly threaded through, while the solid block heel made it an appropriate footwear choice for the wet and slippery weather hitting the UK.
The Duchess was serenaded as she arrived at Lavender Primary School in Enfield, the first of two engagements on Tuesday marking Children’s Mental Health Week – but her unusual choice of footwear didn’t go unnoticed

It seems that the end of last year marked a new style for the Duchess as the country girl also ditched her signature stilettos in favour of practical walking boots back on 15 January, when she visited King Henry’s Walk Garden in Islington.
During the royal engagement, the stylish royal paired the £252 See by Chloe footwear with a casual khaki tweed jacket, a rust-coloured roll-neck jumper and her trademark skinny jeans.
She went along to see how the project bring people together through gardening and food growing.
The mother-of-three has previously relied on her go-to LK Bennett stilettos for dozens of different outfits. Above, she wore the court shoes when she attended the Global Minsterial Mental Health Summit at London County Hall on October
The Duchess of Cambridge went back to her high street roots when she coordinated a £325 green and cream silk polka dot dress from L.K. Bennett with her green suede pumps when she visited Evelina London Children’s hospital on 11 December
And back in December Kate also dressed perfectly for the occasion when she and the Duke hosted a festive party at Kensingston Palace – and famously got pelted with snowballs as they arrived.
Donning a pair of heeled black knee boots with a midi length tartan skirt to mark the countdown to Christmas, Kate’s footwear choice was a far cry away from her usual timeless classics.
Previously the stylish royal has more often than not relied on her go-to LK Bennett stilettos which she has coordinated with dozens of different outfits.
The go-to shoes were also styled with a chic nude dress when Kate attended ‘a Century of style’ exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery on May 4
