Footage of a renowned Taiwanese actress apparently face-planting on a stage has attracted millions of views on social media.
Wearing a pair of high heels, Shu Qi had carefully balanced herself on a staircase leading up to the glass stage in the rain during an international film festival.
But she fell as soon as she stepped onto the raised platform which had become extremely slippery, according to Chinese media.

The 43-year-old star from Taiwan was said to be attending an event last night at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
A trending video from China’s Twitter-like Weibo shows the 5ft 6in actress, wearing a dark blue cocktail dress, cautiously ascending the steps while two staff members held umbrellas for her.
She was said to be wearing a pair of shoes with 10cm (4in) high heels.
A man, who appears to be an emcee of the event, escorted the famous guest as she was about to get onto the stage.
Nevertheless, she lost balance after failing to step down on the stage surface firmly. One of her high-heeled shoes slid and she fell forward face first.
She was quickly helped by the male presenter, who continued to hold her hand and squatted down to check upon on her.

She told her fans that she was ‘okay’, posed for pictures before taking off her shoes to walk down the stage, reported Taiwan’s TVBS News.
The clip of Ms Shu’s fall has set the Chinese internet alight, with many of her fans showing support to the actress who is highly popular in Chinese-speaking regions.
On a Weibo trending page with the hashtag #ShuqiFalls#, one fan wrote: ‘The floor was too slippery and [she] was wearing high heels. It pains me to watch this.’
Another supporter blamed the event’s staff: ‘Why didn’t the woman next to her help hold her up…’
A third web user hailed Ms Shu’s devotion to work with a comment that said ‘this is dedication’.

The sponsor of the event, Italian jewellery brand BVLGARI, praised Ms Shu’s calm reaction to the mishap and said the star could ‘turn an accident into beauty’ in an official Weibo post today.
Ms Shu then responded to the message by thanking the brand for ‘caring for me along the way’.

According to Chinese entertainment news site QQ.com, the awkward accident took place at the opening reception of one screening unit at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival, which runs from June 15 to 24.
The reception attracted a number of high-profile actresses from East Asia, including Wang Luodan and Tong liya.
